1. Take the Stairs
Pretend that elevators and escalators do not exist and try to take the stairs. This will help you build exercise into your daily life, learn how to be active when not at the gym, and give you energy boosts throughout the day.
2. Eat slowly
It takes 20 minutes for you to realize you are full. If you eat too fast, it is easier to eat second helpings and overeat. You then wind up consuming to much food and it is easier to gain weight. Slow down!! . Savor each bite!! Chew slowly. Be mindful of what you are eating and sip water in between bites. If you eat slowly, not only will your body thank you for giving it the right amount of food, but you will learn to enjoy food even more.
3. Drink lots of water
Drinking at least6- 8 cups of water per day helps you stay hydrated, healthy, and energized. Drinking enough water also helps flush out toxins in your body, speeds up your metabolism, protects organs and joints, and helps your body absorb more nutrients.
4. Snack on Fiber
Snacking on high fiber foods such as oats, Fiber One products, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits are a great way to stay full and healthy. Not only are these foods stacked with healthful vitamins and minerals, but they lower cholesterol levels, blood sugar, reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease, and aid in weight loss.
